Turnip Loaf

- 1 large yellow turnip shopping list
- 1 tsp butter shopping list
- 1 egg beaten shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 2 tbls brown sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Peel and cut turnip into 2 inch cubes.Cook in salt water just covered until tender.Drain reserve liquid.Mash turnip until smooth.Add butter,egg,milk,sugar and some of liquid to make moist mixture.Pour into greased loaf pan bake at 325 for 1 hr.. Makes 6 servings

I got this perfect beautiful fresh turnip from Parksdale Farms in Plant City yesterday. They don't last very long but I'm the only one at home who enjoys them. I'm going to try this out it looks like it will be perfect for me to keep for a few days...more
