Privacy

So what's private? Your email address, password, and any private messages are all private. Any other content you create that is accessible by a public URL is, well, public. But you probably already knew that, seeing as we are here to share in the first place.

Advertising. Sometimes we'll show you advertisements. We use third party services (like Google's DoubleClick) to do so. They may attempt to show you targeted ads (basically ads they think you'll want to see). You can easily opt-out of this targeting by visiting this url.

These Terms of Service govern your use of the GroupRecipes.com web site (the "Site"). The Site is owned and operated by GroupRecipes.com ("we" or "us"). Interactivity & Prohibited Activities

The Site includes a number of features, including but not limited to groups, comments, private messages, email, and forums which involve feedback and interaction between Users. Responsibility for what is posted lies with each User. You ALONE are responsible for material you post. This responsibility extends to any possible legal action by a third-party. By agreeing to this Agreement you agree to NOT to do the following:

  • Inhibit or restrict any other User from using the Service.
  • Do anything to disrupt the network or servers that are used to run the Site.
  • Incite other Users to commit illegal actions or damage to any other person.
  • Use the Site to impersonate any entity or person.
  • Collect contact information for marketing purposes.
  • Solicit personal information from minors (anyone under the age of 18)

  • Gain unauthorized access to the Site, server, network, or User account.

Furthermore you understand that we reserve the right to deny access to the Site to anyone who violates these Terms of Service or who in our judgment, interferes with the ability of other Users to use the Site.

Access

When you register for the Site you select a username and password. You are solely responsible for all activities performed under your account. It is your responsibility to keep this information private, and to notify us if you feel the privacy of this information has been compromised. Use of the Site in any form is limited to persons age thirteen (13) and above.

Intellectual Property Rights

This Site and all the materials available on the Site are the property of us and/or our Users, and are protected by copyright, trademark, and Patents (currently pending). The Site is provided solely for your personal noncommercial use. You may not use the Site or the materials available on the Site in a manner that constitutes an infringement of our rights or that has not been authorized by us. Moreover, unless explicitly authorized in these Terms of Service or by the owner of the materials, you may not modify, reproduce, copy, republish, post, upload, transmit, translate, create derivative works, sell, exploit, or distribute in any manner or medium (including by electronic mail or other electronic means) any material from the Site.

By posting or submitting any material (including, without limitation to, recipes, reviews, comments, photos and videos) to us through the Site, you are representing the following: (i) you are the owner of said material, or are making your submission or posting with the express consent of the owner of said material; and (ii) you are thirteen (13) years of age or older. Furthermore, when you submit or post any material, you are granting us, a royalty-free, unrestricted, irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, modify, copy, transmit, delete, profit from in such ways as, but not limited to, sale or display, create derivative works from, distribute, and/or publicly perform or display such material, in whole or in part, in any manner or medium, now known or hereafter developed, for any purpose, in perpetuity. The foregoing permission shall include the right to utilize any proprietary rights in such posting or submission, including, but not limited to, rights under copyright, trademark, or patent laws under any relevant jurisdiction.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your right to use or access the Site at any time without notice. If your rights to access the Site have been terminated you are no longer authorized to be a User of the Site or use it in any capacity.

Limitation of Liability

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, NEGLIGENCE, SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES THAT RESULT FROM THE USE OF, OR THE INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE, INCLUDING ITS MATERIALS OR SERVICES MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE SITE. Other

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. If any provision of this agreement shall be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this Agreement and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
