Swiss Chard Sicilian Style

- 1 large bunch (1 1/4 pounds) swiss chard, washed and trimmed shopping list
- 1 tablespoon olive oil shopping list
- 1 small onion, chopped shopping list
- 1/4 cup golden raisins shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- 2 tablespoons pignoli nuts (pine nuts), toasted shopping list
How to make it
- Cut ribs and stems from chard, cut in 1/2" pieces and set aside.
- Cut leaves into 2" pieces and place in colander to drain.
- In Dutch oven heat oil on medium heat.
- Add onion and chard ribs/stems.
- Cook until tender stirring occasionally, 7 to 9 minutes.
- Add drained chard leaves, raisins and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
- Cover and cook 2 to 3 minutes OR until leaves are tender.
- Remove Dutch oven from heat and stir in pignoli.
