Flan de Coco Coconut Flan

- 1 1/2 cups white sugar shopping list
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk shopping list
- 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 6 eggs shopping list
- 1/2 cup fresh shredded coconut shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degree F/175 degrees C..
- Place 1 cup sugar in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Cook gently, without stirring but shaking occasionally until sugar is melted.
- Continue cooking until sugar is completely melted and turns golden brown.
- Pour into a large glass baking dish.
- Spread caramel evenly over bottom of dish, then set aside to cool for about 15 minutes.
- Once the caramel has hardened pour all the milks, the eggs, 1/2 cup sugar and coconut into a blender.
- Blend for 3 minutes or until smooth.
- Pour into baking dish over caramel.
- Bake for 45 minutes until set.
- Remove from oven and cool 30 minutes.
- Run a knife around the edge of the dish to free flan from sides.
- Refrigerate overnight before serving.
