Swedish Meatloaf with Sour Cream and Mushroom Sauce

- Meatloaf shopping list
- 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef shopping list
- 3/4 cup breadcrumbs, plain shopping list
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 2 eggs, beaten shopping list
- 1/4 cup half and half shopping list
- 3/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. pepper shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. allspice shopping list
- sour cream mushroom Sauce shopping list
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced shopping list
- 1 tbls. butter shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 1/4 cup flour shopping list
- 2 cups chicken broth shopping list
- 1-8 oz. carton sour cream shopping list
- 2 tsp. dill weed, dried shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Meatloaf
- Preheat oven to 350
- In mixing bowl, combine all ingredients well but don't over work meat
- Shape into 8x4 inch loaf
- Put onto baking sheet and bake for 1 hour
- Sour Cream and Mushroom Sauce
- In large skillet, saute mushrooms in 1 tbls. butter until tender
- Remove and set aside
- Melt 1/4 cup butter in skillet over low heat
- Add flour and stir until smooth
- Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly
- Gradually whisk in chicken broth and cook over medium heat, whisking until thick and bubbly
- Remove form heat
- Stir in sour cream, mushrooms, dill weed, salt and pepper
