Popeyes Superbowl Spinach Dip

- 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted shopping list
- 3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 (6oz) Roll jalapeno cheese, softened shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon celery salt shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 2 cans ( 13.5 oz each ) leaf or chopped spinach shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons chopped onion shopping list
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon garlic salt shopping list
- dash of red pepper shopping list
- *Optional* fresh or canned mushrooms shopping list
How to make it
- Drain canned spinach well, reserving 1/2 cup liquid. Set aside
- Combine butter, onion, and flour in a pan
- Stir well and cook for about one minute
- Gradually add reserved spinach liquid and evaporated milk, cook until slighlty thickened, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat
- Add cheese and seasonings to sauce, stirring until cheese is melted.
- Add drained spinach and optional mushrooms, mixing well
- Dip may be frozen. Thaw and heat before serving.

- Serve in small crock pot on low temperature. Stir occasionally
