Asian Pear Pie

- Double crust recipe your favorite plus cinnamon shopping list
- filling shopping list
- 8 large cooking pears (peeled and sliced) shopping list
- lemon zest from one med lemon and half the juice shopping list
- 1/2 cup white sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup brown sugar ( or to taste depends on the pears) shopping list
- 1 heaping Tbls cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg shopping list
- 1/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1/4 tsp allspice shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350
- make pie crust roll out bottom crust
- peel and slice pears (add one apple if you'd like)
- add flour, zest and half the lemon juiced
- add spices toss till pears are covered
- roll out top crust
- arrange pears in pie and top with crust
- put some vent holes in top
- bake for 45 to 50 min.

Made this tonight, very good. I might try backing off on the cinnamon and I'd like to back off on the lemon, but I used lemon water to keep the asian pears from browning while I was peeling/slicing and I'm kind of afraid to not do that.... All in a...more
