Dill Pickle Soup

- 1 c butter or margarine shopping list
- 1/2 c all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 1/2 qt chicken broth shopping list
- 12 oz dill pickles, shredded or-finely chopped (about 1 1/2 -cups) shopping list
- 1 c white wine or additional -chicken broth shopping list
- 1/2 ea Medium onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 3 tb sugar shopping list
- 2 tb vinegar shopping list
- 1 tb Worchestershire sauce shopping list
- 4 ea garlic cloves, minced shopping list
- 2 ts salt shopping list
- 1 ts dill weed shopping list
- 1 ts curry powder shopping list
- 1/2 ts white pepper shopping list
- 2 ea bay leaves shopping list
- 2 c whole milk or part milk and half and half shopping list
How to make it
- In a large kettle, melt butter.
- Add flour; cook and stir until bubbly.
- Gradually add broth.
- Add the next 12 ingredients; bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce the heat; add milk.
- Remove bay leaves. and serve warm

Boy, this IS different, but I'm willing to try this! My parents always used to caution us kids on the pickle and milk combo. They said it could upset the stomach, but I guesse it's fine if you cook it.
