Chocolate Pinwheels

- 1-1/4 cups butter shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 3 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 cup cocoa shopping list
How to make it
- Mix butter, sugar and egg then stir in flour and salt.
- Divide dough in half then stir cocoa into half the dough and refrigerate one hour.
- On floured pastry cloth roll plain dough into a rectangle.
- Roll chocolate dough the same size then place on top then roll out until 3/16” thick.
- Starting at the long edge roll dough into a log then wrap and chill for one hour or longer.
- Heat oven to 400 then slice dough into 1/8” slices.
- If dough crumbles while slicing let it warm a bit.
- Place 1" apart on ungreased baking sheets then bake 8 minutes until set but not brown.
- Remove from sheets immediately and cool on racks.
