Loretta Lynns Cathead Biscuits

- 2 cups self-rising flour shopping list
- 1 cup shortening shopping list
- 3/4 cup buttermilk shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 450
- Mix the flour and shortening with fork or pastry cutter until resembles coarse meal.
- Add the buttermilk and stir until a dough forms.
- Drop them by spoonfuls on to a greased baking sheet and cook in a 400ยบ oven for 15 minutes.
- OR turn dough onto a floured surface and knead gently until smooth, (maybe 6-8 times. I just keep folding it over into itself), pat out to about 1/2" thick and cut biscuits out with buiscuit cutter.
- Bake at 400 about 15 minutes
