South African Pumpkin Fritters

- Fritters shopping list
- 4 c cooked mashed pumpkin shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 c flour shopping list
- pinch of salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) heaped of sugar shopping list
- cinnamon sugar shopping list
- 1oz ground cinnamon shopping list
- 6oz sugar shopping list
- caramel sauce shopping list
- 250 ml sugar shopping list
- 500 ml water shopping list
- 500 ml milk shopping list
- 30 ml margarine shopping list
- 20 ml cornstarched mixed to a paste with water shopping list
- 5 ml caramel essence shopping list
How to make it
- Fritters
- Combine all ingredients, making a soft batter and fry spoonfulls in shallow oil till both sides are lightly browned.
- Drain on paper.
- Serve warm with cinnamon sugar or caramelsauce.
- Cinnamon Sugar
- Mix the Cinnamon and Sugar together.
- Sprinkle over Fritters as much as desired
- Caramel Sauce
- Cook all toghether and pour over fritters just before serving.
