Casserole for a Cold Night

- 1 onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 lb lean ground beef shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves, minced shopping list
- 1 cup tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 14 oz can diced tomatoes shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 500 g tubular pasta shopping list
- 1 small container light cream cheese shopping list
- 1 small container light sour cream shopping list
- 6 green onions, chopped shopping list
- 2 cups shredded, low fat mozzarella or cheddar shopping list
How to make it
- brown beef in skillet
- add onion and cook until softened
- add tomatoes, tomato sauce, garlic and seasoning
- simmer for 10 minutes
- meanwhile, cook pasta and drain
- add cream cheese, sour cream and green onions to hot pasta and stir to melt
- grease large casserole dish
- layer half of the meat sauce, half the pasta, and one cup of cheese. repeat.
- bake at 350 degrees uncovered for 30 minutes
