Pulled Venison Sandwich

- 1 boneless venison roast (4 pounds) shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups ketchup shopping list
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon ground mustard shopping list
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice shopping list
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon liquid smoke, optional shopping list
- 2 teaspoons celery salt shopping list
- 2 teaspoons pepper shopping list
- 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 teaspoon onion powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg shopping list
- 3 drops hot pepper sauce shopping list
- 14 to 18 hamburger buns, split shopping list
How to make it
- Cut venison roast in half; place in a 5-qt. slow cooker. In a large bowl, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, lemon juice, soy sauce, Liquid Smoke if desired and seasonings. Pour over venison. Cover and cook on high for 4-1/2 to 5 hours or until meat is tender.
- Remove the roast; set aside to cool. Strain sauce and return to slow cooker. Pull meat, using to two forks; stir into sauce and heat through. Using a slotted spoon, spoon meat mixture onto each bun.

This looks perfect! I just got 3/4 of my mom's deer yesterday and have been looking for ways to prepare different dishes using it. Now nobody should know that it's venison and eat it right up without any eewwww's. LOL 5 forks!
