Vinegar Dumplings

- syrup shopping list
- * 1/2 cup vinegar shopping list
- * 1 cup sugar shopping list
- * 1 stick margarine shopping list
- * 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- * 1 cup water shopping list
- Dumplings shopping list
- * 1 cup flour shopping list
- * 2 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- * 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- * 2 Tablespoons margarine shopping list
- * 6 Tablespoons milk shopping list
How to make it
- Syrup
- * 1/2 cup vinegar
- * 1 cup sugar
- * 1 stick margarine
- * 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- * 1 cup water
- 1. Mix all the above together and bring to a boil.
- 2. Drop dumplings into mixture and boil about 15 minutes or until syrup is thick.
- Dumplings
- * 1 cup flour
- * 2 teaspoons baking powder
- * 1/2 teaspoon salt
- * 2 Tablespoons margarine
- * 6 Tablespoons milk
- Mix all together, like you would for biscuits.
- Roll out into small rounds 1/2 inch thick and drop in vinegar syrup
