Banana Lollipops

Everything is better covered in chocolate...Great way to use up those bananas
Ingredients
- 3 bananas, sliced in half crosswise shopping list
- 2 tbls. orange juice shopping list
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels shopping list
- 1 tbls. shortening shopping list
- Chopped walnuts, flaked coconut, candy sprinkles, chopped reese's pieces (Anything you want to dip into) shopping list
- 6 Popsicle sticks or wooden skewers shopping list
How to make it
- Peel bananas, and slice in half crosswise.
- Brush bananas with orange juice
- Insert sticks in cut end of bananas
- Put on parchment paper lined cookie sheet
- Freeze until firm
- Melt chocolate and shortening in double boiler
- Cool
- Spoon chocolate evenly over frozen bananas
- Roll coated bananas in nuts, coconut, whatever you choose
- Cook time does not include freeze time
