- Cream Filling shopping list
- Betty Crocker Cookbook shopping list
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 1/4 cups milk shopping list
- 1 beaten egg shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon butter shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- optional: fruit/nuts shopping list
How to make it
- In saucepan, combine sugar, flour and salt. Gradually add milk; mix
- well. Cook and stir over medium heat till mixture thickens and boils;
- cook and stir 2 minutes longer. Very gradually stir the hot mixture
- into the egg return to saucepan. Cook and stir till the mixture just
- boils. Stir in butter and vanilla; cover surface with waxed paper or
- clear plastic wrap. Cool (Don't stir during cooling) Makes 1 1/2 cups.
- Top with fruit or nuts (optional)
- when covering with wax or plastic wrap, allow the steam a place to escape, so that condensation doesn't go back into your filling,

Sounds great, and a little easier than my version, I will note though when coving with wax or plastic wrap, allow the steam a place to escape, so that condensation doesn't go back into your filling, thats a trick my grandmother always used... it help...more
