Ham With Cherry Sauce

- 1 Virginia hickory smoked ham (if you can, get the butcher to spiral slice it.) shopping list
- whole cloves shopping list
- glaze for ham: shopping list
- 1/2 cup black strap molassas shopping list
- 1/2 cup apple juice or sweet cider shopping list
- 1 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup minced onion (optional- I just like onion!) shopping list
- 1 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1 tsp ground clove shopping list
- ~@~ shopping list
- Cherry Sauce: shopping list
- 1 Large can cherry pie filling shopping list
- 1/4 cup red hots shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- ~@~ shopping list
- If you don't have redhots, use 1 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 tsp clove shopping list
How to make it
- Score the ham and stud with whole cloves
- Combine glaze ingredients and rub glaze all over it. Bake in oven acording to directions on the lable.
- In sauce pan, empty the large can of cherry pie filling, 1/4 cup red hots and butter. Gently heat until redhots disolve. If you find it reducing too much, add a little apple juice.
- To serve, spoon cherry sauce over ham slices.
