How to make it

  • Layer the cucumber and onions in a dish that has a lid.
  • As you put each layer of cucumber, lightly salt them.
  • Let sit for at least 30 minutes.
  • Add enough water to fill container about 65%.
  • Fill the other 35% with the apple cider vinegar.
  • You can also add a pinch or more of sugar if you like it less tart.
  • Place in fridge overnight before serving.
