From justjakesmom 16 years agoIngredients
- 2 cans 12.5 oz. premium diced ham (I use Harvest Creek from Costco) shopping list
- Approx. 2 cups fresh broccoli florets (you could use frozen if you don't have) shopping list
- 1 can cream of broccoli soup shopping list
- 1 14 oz can of chicken broth shopping list
- 4 oz. light cream cheese shopping list
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese shopping list
- 1 Tbls Dijon mustard shopping list
- 1/2 tsp thyme shopping list
- 1/2 tsp McCormack roasted garlic and red bell pepper seasoning (or just add minced garlic or omit altogether) shopping list
- pasta - I used approx. 8 oz. of shells - use any kind you like and more or less shopping list
How to make it
- Bring water to boil for pasta - cook according to directions
- Meanwhile in large saute pan, add cream of broccoli soup, chicken broth, and ham and bring to boil
- Reduce to simmer and add broccoli
- Add thyme and garlic seasoning
- Remove from heat and add cream cheese (I use back of large spoon pressing against cream cheese and go in circular motion till incorporated)
- Put back on simmer
- Add dijon
- No need to salt because of the ham, soup and cheese
- When pasta's done, drain and add to pot
- Add cheddar and stir till melted
- Serve and enjoy!
