Chicken Biryani

- breast of chicken shopping list
- 1 red onion (sliced) shopping list
- 1 garlic clove (crushed chopped) shopping list
- 1 bullet chillie chopped (seeds removed if u don't wnt it hot) shopping list
- 2 tbsp olive oil shopping list
- small tin chopped tomatoes shopping list
- seeds from 4 cardamon pods shopping list
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander shopping list
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin shopping list
- 1/2 tsp tumeric shopping list
- 1 tbsp curry paste (mild or hot) shopping list
- 1 tsp brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup frozen garden peas shopping list
- 50g butter shopping list
- 200g basmati rice shopping list
- 1 chicken stock cube shopping list
How to make it
- slice tne chicken into cubes about 1/4 inches thick
- heat the olive oil in a pan and add the chopped onion. Cook until it softens.
- add garlic and chillie cook briefly low heat (20 secs)
- add tomatoes, cumin, brown sugar, tumeric, coriander, cardamon seeds
- add chicken cook gently for 3 minutes
- add the butter let it melt ad the rice
- coat the rice in the butter and spices, then cover with boiling water
- add the stock cube bring to the boil and simmer(should be cooked in roughly 12 minues)
- Add the peas a couple of minutes before the end
- Enjoy
