How to make it

  • Cabbage and carrots must be finely diced.
  • Pour cabbage and carrot mixture into large bowl and stir in minced onions.
  • Prepare the dressing, mix until smooth and creamy.
  • Pour over Slaw and mix thoroughly.
  • Cover bowl and refrigerate several hours or overnight before serving.

    I've made this several times and have it bookmarked. We've been to restaurants and family gatherings where I've had Cole Slay but none have tasted quite like I wished they did, this one is spot-on! I think I'm guilty of comparing it to Kentucky Fried Chicken's stuff which I love. In fact, I'm visiting this site because I needed to access the recipe again, making it right now......can't wait to dig in.

    It doesn't need to set overnight, I think it's best as fresh as possible. This recipe sounds about "spot on"; I worked at KFC many years ago but their coleslaw tastes the same today, the best. Yum!

    I have tried lots of cole slaw recipes, and bottled slaw dressings. Every one of them was missing something and just not right. This is the best. Too bad I found this recipe in October. I wish I had it this summer. Definitly a keeper.
