Pretty Black Eyed Pea Cake

- 3 cups black eyed peas cooked and pureed in blender shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 2 teaspoons soda shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice shopping list
- 3 large eggs at room temperature shopping list
- 2 cups granulated sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil shopping list
- 4 ounce jar baby food carrots shopping list
- 1/2 cup crushed pineapple drained shopping list
- 1/2 cup cherries chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds shopping list
- Frosting: shopping list
- 1 cup butter shopping list
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 2 cups sifted powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon orange juice shopping list
How to make it
- Combine flour, soda, baking powder, salt, and spices.
- Beat eggs then add sugar, oil and vanilla and beat until smooth.
- Stir in peas and remaining ingredients.
- Pour into two round cake pans and bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
- To make frosting combine all ingredients until spreading consistency.
- Spread over cooled cake.
