Ham Sauerkraut Balls

- 1 pound ground fully cooked ham shopping list
- 16 ounce can sauerkraut drained and chopped shopping list
- 1/4 cup finely chopped white onion shopping list
- 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons dry bread crumbs divided shopping list
- 3 ounces cream cheese softened shopping list
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley shopping list
- 1 tablespoons prepared mustard shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1/4 cup milk shopping list
- oil for deep fat frying shopping list
How to make it
- In large bowl combine ham, sauerkraut, onion and 2 tablespoons of the bread crumbs.
- In another bowl combine cream cheese, parsley, mustard, garlic powder and pepper.
- Stir into sauerkraut mixture and chill at least one hour or overnight.
- Shape into balls and coat with flour.
- In a small bowl beat eggs and milk.
- Dip ham balls into egg mixture then roll in remaining bread crumbs.
- Heat oil to 375 in a deep fat fryer or electric skillet and fry until golden brown then drain well.
