Garlic-herb Bechamel Sauce

- 2 tbsp. unsalted butter shopping list
- 1 tsp. minced garlic shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsbp. flour shopping list
- 1 1/4 cup warmed milk (warm in micro.) shopping list
- 1 bay leaf shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. salt shopping list
- few dashes of white pepper shopping list
How to make it
- In small saucepan over low heat, melt butter
- Add garlic and thyme
- Whisk in flour, keep whiskinga minue or so as it forms a thick paste
- Keep whisking as you drizzle in the warmed milk, whisk until there are no lumps
- Add bay leaf and turn heat to very low
- Cook, stirring frequently, about 5-8 minutes
- Remove from heat and stir in salt and white pepper
