Stuffing Emergency

- This stuffing uses whatever bread products you may have leftover in your house. I just happened to have the following and tossed it in. p.s. This was my very first attempt at making my own stuffing. I normally loathe stuffing, but this really grows on you. shopping list
- 4 garlic cloves, diced shopping list
- 1 large red bell pepper, seeds and veins removed, diced shopping list
- 2 slices of white bread end pieces, broken into bits shopping list
- 6 saltine crackers, crumbled shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups Matzoh Meal shopping list
- 2 cups bread Crumbs shopping list
- 1 Packet of mushroom soup powdered mix shopping list
- 2 Tbspns balsamic vinegar shopping list
- 1 Tbspn olive oil shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 Palm's worth of tarragon, basil, rosemary, thyme, Smoked sea salt and ground black pepper shopping list
- Suggestions: Chopped chestnuts, white raisins and/or bacon bits would go excellent with this recipe to make the tastes even more complex. shopping list
How to make it
- Sautee diced red pepper and garlic in Olive oil over medium heat until golden and fragrent, 5-7 minutes. Add extra Balsamic and spices to it if you wish.
- In the meantime, mix all the other ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
- Let pepper/garlic mixture cool slightly, add to the mixture and blend well, adding more bread products to create a desired consistency.
- Stuff the bird and bake.
- Serve with appropriate gravy.
