Steak with Seared Foie Gras

- 2 rib eye steaks shopping list
- 3-4 oz. foie gras shopping list
- 8 tsp sugar shopping list
- 1 cup dry red wine shopping list
- 1 tbsp butter shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Soak foie gras in salted water (about 1/3 cup salt to 1 cup water) for 1 hour.
- Slice foie gras into 1/3 inch thick pieces.
- Reduce sugar and wine in a saucepan until it is 1/2 or 1/3 of the original quantity.
- Salt and pepper steaks, sear in buttered pan till it gets as done as you like it, set aside.
- Sear foie gras in pan used to cook steak for about 1 1/2 minutes each side. Divide and place on top of steak.
- Drizzle sauce around steak and add a bit on the foie gras if you want.
- Enjoy.
