Double Brownies

- chocolate LAYER shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional) shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/4 cup cocoa shopping list
- 1/2 cup margarine shopping list
- BUTTERSCOTCH LAYER shopping list
- 1/2 cup margarine shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups flour shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional) shopping list
- icing shopping list
- 1/2 cup margarine shopping list
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed shopping list
- 6 tbls. milk shopping list
- 3 cups icing sugar shopping list
- DRIZZLE shopping list
- 2/3 cup chocolate chips shopping list
- 2 tsp. oil shopping list
How to make it
- CHOCOLATE LAYER
- Beat eggs until foamy.
- Add sugar, flour, nuts and salt.
- Melt margarine and cocoa over low heat.
- Add to egg mixture and blend well.
- Spread into a greased 9x13 pan and set aside.
- BUTTERSCOTCH LAYER
- Cream margarine with brown sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla.
- Beat until well mixed.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Spoon over chocolate layer in small blobs and spread as best as you can.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool completely.
- ICING
- Bring margarine, brown sugar and milk to a boil. Simmer for 2 minutes and let cool.
- Stir in icing sugar adding more sugar or milk if necessary to make a proper spreading consistency.
- Spread over cooled brownies.
- DRIZZLE
- Melt chocolate chips and oil in top of double boiler. Drizzle randomly all over icing.
