Cheddar volcano mashed potatoes or potatos

- 5 lbs potatoes, peeled, cooked, drained, and mashed (i leave the skins on shopping list
- 3/4 cup hot milk (approximately) shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese shopping list
- 1/2 cup whipping cream shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Whip potatoes with enough hot milk to make light and fluffy
- Season with salt and pepper as you like
- Pile into greased baking bowl mounding into a volcano shape
- Make a crater in the center. approx 2 inches deep and 3 inches across
- Whip the cream, and fold in the cheese
- Pour cream and cheese mixture into the crater
- Bake for about 35 minutes, or until lightly browned and bubbly and oozing over the top

Where did you get this one. I think I sleep with potatoes in my bed...I will use this casserole for the cold nights...You obviously have great cooks in your house. A different recipe. I think I will make this thanksgiving so I dont have to do the ...more
