Elegant Raspberry Chocolate Pie Recipe

Ingredients

How to make it

  • Dissolve Jello in boiling water.
  • Spoon in ice cream, combine until melted and smooth.
  • Chill until slightly thickened (10 mins).
  • Pour into crust. Chill until firm (2 hours).
  • Melt margarine & chocolate. Cool, slightly.
  • Spread over pie.
  • Chill until chocolate hardens.
  • Garnish with whipped topping & raspberries, if desired.

    I have made this 3 times and each time the fluffy ice cream layer separates and a clear jello layer ends up on the bottom. Does not matter if ice cream is solid or slightly melted. What am I doing wrong?

    Recipe sounds good but I won't be able to make it while living in England as one can't get Cool Whip here and powdered raspberry jello would be difficult to find. I will bookmark it though for sometime down the road.
