How to make it

  • 1.preheat oven to 425 line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside
  • 2.in a large bowl combine 1 1/2 cups flour sugar salt bakig powder and baking soda using a box grater on the largest holes grate the cold butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs mix butter throughout with hands
  • 3.add in the egg and 1/2 a cup of milk and mix until the ingredients are combined and dough is sticky
  • 4.sprinkle half of the remaning flour on a clean work surface and scoop out the dough sprinkle more flour on top of dough so it wont stick to your hands and kneed for 10 to 15 minuts
  • 5. pat the dough flattening out to one inch thickness cut with a biscut cutter or drinking glass
  • 6. place the biscuts on the baking sheet lightly brush the top of each biscut with remaning milk and bake for 8 to 10 minuts or until golden brown
