Dark Chocolate Tootsie Rolls

- 1 tablespoon lucuma or protein powder (thinking 8 tablespoons protein powder and no cacao powder, get me more protein!) shopping list
- 6 tablespoons raw cacao powder shopping list
- 2 tablespoons almond butter (peanut butter is higher in protein, yuck peanut butter) shopping list
- 2 1/2 tablespoons raw honey shopping list
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted over LOW heat shopping list
- *can add in 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract if desired, we did not shopping list
- MY add ons: shopping list
- 1 teaspoon real vanilla shopping list
- 1/3 teaspoon orange oil shopping list
How to make it
- Gather ingredients and grab blender.
- Place all ingredients into the blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Batter will be a little sticky and oily.
- Press tootsie roll batter onto a non-stick surface.
- Start to press into a square/rectangle shape.
- Cut into desired shapes.
- Store in refrigerator.

- Substitutions:
- To replace honey we recommend using coconut nectar for the best chewy texture.
- You can use lucuma or any protein powder.
- To replace almond butter you can use tahini (we have and it turned out great) or any nut or seed butter of your liking.
