I eat at McDonald’s once a year. A birthday calibration of sorts; a Big Mac, fries and a coke. When I was 16 the first McDonald’s opened in Redondo Beach, Calif. It was about half way between my house and school. Read more Bill (who went on to own eight McDonald's franchises, a long story) was flippin burgers hisownself and had two kids working the counter: 15¢ burgers and 20¢ Coke or Fanta. You could slap down a buck and get five burgers and a soda. Every 16 year old boys dream. Years later I switched to Chicken McNuggets and became a devote of McDonald’s Honey Mustard Sauce. Haven’t had McNuggets in over 25 years but still love the sauce. This is supposed to be McDonald’s recipe and sure taste like it. This goes with lots of stuff and keeps for months in the fridge. Ingredients
- • 4-5 Tbs. mayonnaise. 4 is better. shopping list
- • 2 Tbs. honey. shopping list
- • 4 tsp. country-style Dijon mustard, Grey Poupon suggested. shopping list
- • 1/2 tsp. white vinegar. shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Mix all ingredients well, cover and let sit in the fridge 1 hour.
