Hamburger Cabbage Casserole

- 1 pound ground beef shopping list
- 1 large onion chopped (1 cup) shopping list
- ½ cup uncooked minute rice shopping list
- ½ teaspoon salt shopping list
- ½ teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1 can condensed tomato soup, or 1 ¼ cups homemade smooth tomato soup. shopping list
- ¼ cup water shopping list
- 4 cups shredded green cabbage (about ½ of a medium sized head) shopping list
- Sour cream, if desired shopping list
- Chopped chives, if desired shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Heat oven to 400 F.
- 2. Cook beef and onion in 10 inch skillet over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain fat. Stir in rice, salt, pepper, soup and water.
- 3. Place cabbage in un-greased 2 quart casserole. Spoon beef mixture over cabbage.
- 4. Cover and bake about 45 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Top with sour cream and chives.
