- 60 g (1/2 of my pkg.) of smoked salmon shopping list
- Sauce: shopping list
- 100 ml. tomato passata shopping list
- 1 heaping tablespoon mayonnaise shopping list
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 3 shakes Tabasco shopping list
- a pinch of celery salt shopping list
- 1 lemon shopping list
- 1 1/2 heaping tbsp. creamed horseradish shopping list
- a swig of brandy or vodka shopping list
- fresh dill, chopped shopping list
- celery leaves, chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Trim the lettuce to make them into nice sized vessels to hold the seafood and avocado and spread them face up over a big board or platter.
- Peel the skin off the avocado and use a melon baller to scoop out the flesh. Dress with olive oil, salt and pepper. Divide it up in the lettuce cups.
- Scatter the shrimp and lobster over the lettuce cups and then drape the smoked salmon.
- Sauce: Add the passata, mayo, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, celery salt, juice from 1 lemon and the horseradish to a measuring cup and whisk to mix along with a splash of brandy or vodka. Add a pinch of slat and pepper and a lug of olive oil then whisk again. Taste the sauce at this point and tweak it to your liking.
- Pour a bit of the sauce over the platter but keep some in a serving dish so guests can add as much or as little as they'd like.
- Garnish with chopped dill and celery leaves.
