Port Wine Cheese Spread

- ½ lb. Port Salut cheese (Kaukauna Port-wine cheese spread can be substituted) shopping list
- ½ lb. sharp cheddar, grated shopping list
- ½ lb. butter shopping list
- ¼ cup chopped almonds shopping list
- 3 oz. brandy shopping list
How to make it
- Let cheeses and butter soften.
- Grate cheese.
- Cream butter and cheeses together with heavy-duty mixer or food processor.
- Add brandy and nuts.
- Best if made a week or so before serving. Serve with a sturdy cracker, and pull it out of the fridge awhile before serving - to make it easier to spread - especially if you use actual Port Salut Cheese.
- Keeps almost indefinitely.... seriously - months and months, thanks to the brandy.
