Sugar Shack Souffle

- 1 ½ c maple syrup shopping list
- 4 egg whites shopping list
- ½ c superfine or powdered sugar shopping list
- 2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 4 tbsp cognac or pure apple juice shopping list
- 1 tbsp butter (no substitutes) shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 300F
- Boil 1 cup of the syrup until it makes ¾ cup, let cool slightly.
- Beat egg whites until stiff.
- Add the sugar and baking powder, carefully blend in the reduced syrup.
- Divide the remaining ½ cup syrup amongst 6 ramekins, divide and add cognac and butter to each.
- Slowly pour in the egg mixture.
- Place ramekins in a pan containing a water bath.
- Bake 50 minutes, serve hot.

i wonder if this could be made with splenda as im a diabetic and splenda measures cup for cup with sugar.sounds wonderful like it is though. JO
