Muffaletta Pizza

- 1 large thin pizza crust(homemade, partially prebaked or store bought) shopping list
- about 1 1/2 cups olive tapenade or olive salad, minced up shopping list
- 1/2 red onion, sliced thin shopping list
- 1 red pepper, roasted and sliced shopping list
- about 8oz of various thin sliced capicola, salami, ham, etc shopping list
- about 8oz sliced or shredded provolone cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Spread the olive spread over the pizza crust nearly to the edges.
- Layer the red onion and pepper slices over the olive spread.
- Layer the meats over the onions and peppers.
- Top with the cheese.
- Bake in a hot oven until cheese melts and pizza is heated through.(follow the temp recommendation on your crust recipe or package :)
- *A muffaletta is generally very over stuffed. I didn't do that with this pizza, only because it was the first time making it and because I was making 2 with the ingredients I had. You can(and I will, next time) certainly pile everything on higher, if you want. The olive spread amount could handle more meats and cheese, no problem!
