These are Made in the Cape Vede Islands and Cape Verde Communities throughout the USA..
Ingredients
- 5 cup Yellow Farinha flour can be purchased in a spanish store shopping list
- 2 1/4 cup White instant Potato shopping list
- 1 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 1/2 cups mashed bananas shopping list
- 8 cups cups water or more if needed shopping list
How to make it
- Mix above all ingredients in a large bowl, when done shape into cigar shape in a cast iron frying pan until Golden Brown. (Mine are dropped in deep fryer with a ice cream scoop like my grand mother did) Eat with coffee, milk, or your Favorite Soup...
