How to make it

  • Stem and chop the peppers including the seeds.
  • Place the peppers, garlic, lemon juice, vinegar, salt and olive oil in a food processor fitted with a metal blade and purée.
  • Pour the mixture into a glass jar and let it steep for at least three days in the fridge.
  • It keeps well in the fridge for up to a month.

    Yay! THANK YOU for posting this "molho de piri piri" ! It is composed exactly as I'd thought it'd be! Simple, yet each ingredient is of paramount importance.

    I want to make piri piri chicken with it, besides having it as a condiment on the table, like the Portuguese. I'll let you know...

    I like this...
    Not as hot as the Naga Viper Chili...You know...the one that's hot enough to strip paint.
    ~but~
    None the less the piri piri chili should carry a wallop as well.
    Thank-you for this hot sauce of a recipe.
