Marlboro Red Salsa With Baked Chips

- Salsa: shopping list
- 2-4 TBS finely chopped onion shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 3 lg ripe tomatoes shopping list
- 2-4 serrano peppers, minced shopping list
- 2-4 TBS minced cilantro shopping list
- 1-2 TBS lemon or lime juice shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- Chips: shopping list
- 10-12 flour tortillas shopping list
- seasoned salt, chili powder, etc. shopping list
- oil shopping list
How to make it
- Salsa:
- Put chopped onions and garlic into a strainer and pour two cups boiling water over them; drain thoroughly; discard water. Cool. Peel tomatoes, remove seeds, chop.
- Combine tomatoes with onion, garlic, peppers, cilantro, lemon juice, salt and pepper; refrigerate to allow flavors to blend. Serve with baked chips.
- Chips:
- Cut tortillas into 8 wedges. Brush a shallow baking pan with oil. Arrange tortillas in a single layer on pan. Brush them lightly with oil. Sprinkle with desired seasoning. Bake in a 325 oven until chrisp and lightly browned.
