Jaeger Sauce

- 1/4 cup chopped celery shopping list
- 1 tsp. garlic powder shopping list
- 1 tsp. thyme shopping list
- 1 tsp. parsley shopping list
- 1 bay leaf shopping list
- 2 cups white wine shopping list
- 1 cup beef stock shopping list
- 2 cups mushrooms (fresh and sliced) shopping list
- 2-3 oz canned stewed diced tomatoes shopping list
- heavy cream to taste (about 1/4 cup + usually) shopping list
- basic rue to thicken to taste (milk and flour smooth mixture) shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- 1) Add celery to pan with the garlic, thyme, parsley, and bay leaf and saute for 1 min. Deglaze with wine and continue to cook until reduced by half.
- 2) Add beef stock and tomatoes to pan and lower temp and simmer until almost boiling.
- 3)Add mushrooms to sauce and simmer 5 min.
- 4)Add basic rue and make sure it's smooth ( no lumps). Now mix in salt, pepper, and cream well just before serving.
- -at this point the sauce is done and you can put it over just about any meat you want.
