How to make it

  • In a 4-quart bowl, combine cream of rice, bananas, oil, sugar, nutmeg, salt, water and baking soda. Stir until thoroughly blended. Bake in a well greased 8 x 12-inch rectangular or 9-inch round cake pan at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve.
  • Version No 2.
  • In a 4-quart bowl, combine cream of rice, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in bananas, eggs, milk, and oil. Bake in a well-greased 8 x 12-inch rectangular or 9-inch round cake pan at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve.
