Fideo Sopa con Puerco Fideo pasta with pork soup

- 1 Pkg Fideo- which is vermicelli pasta (or the stars-which is what i used in the pics) shopping list
- 1 - 8oz can tomato sauce shopping list
- 2 tablespoon minced onion shopping list
- 2-3 tspns red pepper flakes (optional) shopping list
- 1-2 garlic cloves minced shopping list
- 1 tspn cumin shopping list
- 1/2 tspn mexican oregano shopping list
- 1/2 cup oil for frying shopping list
- 6 Cups of water (may add more, if needed) shopping list
- 2 chicken Boullion Cubes shopping list
- cojita cheese shopping list
- tortillas shopping list
- sour cream shopping list
- limes shopping list
- * You can cut left over pork chops/chicken into thin slices and throw some in there. You do not need any meat it is just as good without. shopping list
How to make it
- 1.In a skillet heat oil, once warm add fideo, garlic, onion. Stir constantly, until fideo turn golden brown.
- 2. Heat 6 cups of water to boiling.
- 2.Once the fideo is brown add to boiling water also add tomato sauce, chicken cubes, cumin, mexican oregano & red pepper flakes. Stir often until the fideo is soft. You may need to add more water, to get to soup consistency because the noodles will absorb some of the water.
- 3. Then if you have left over chicken or pork chops heat them, cut them into thin slices and place with soup. Serve with tortillas, sour cream, cojita cheese, hot sauce & limes. Enjoy!
