Tuna Melt Loaf

- Dough: shopping list
- 3 1/4 cups bread flour shopping list
- 1 tbs. sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. dried dill weed shopping list
- 1 package yeast shopping list
- 1 cup hot water shopping list
- 1 tbs. butter, softened shopping list
- Filling: shopping list
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese shopping list
- 2 cans (6 oz. each) tuna, drained shopping list
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise shopping list
- 2 tbs. minced onion shopping list
How to make it
- For dough, combine flour, sugar, salt, dill weed, and yeast.
- Add hot water and butter; stir to form soft dough.
- Knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.
- Let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Meanwhile, combine filling ingredients.
- Roll out dough into a 8" by 14" rectangle.
- Place tuna mixture down the center of the rectangle in a straight line. Fold ends over filling, sealing in filling, to form a roll.
- Place on a greased baking sheet seam side down.
- Let rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
- Bake at 375 for about 20-30 minutes. Serve hot.

I agree, great idea! I'll have to try this bread soon, have a lot of canned tuna stored in the pantry and have been wondering what to do with it besides the tuna salads.
