MILE HIGH STRAWBERRY PIE

I make this every year for Yule!
Ingredients
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries shopping list
- 1 c. sugar shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. salt shopping list
- 2 egg whites shopping list
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 1 pkg. Dream Whip, prepared shopping list
- 1 baked 10" pie shell, I always use this and every year I think I should just put this in individual cups!!! But I use the chocolate graham cracker crust pie shell I do not bake up one. shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare Dream Whip and place in refrigerate.
- Have strawberries partially defrosted.
- Place berries, sugar, egg whites, lemon juice and salt in large mixing bowl.
- Beat with electric mixer at medium speed for 10 to 15 minutes or until mixture holds its shape.
- Add vanilla.
- Fold in Dream Whip quickly.
- Pile lightly in cooled baked pie shell.
- Place in freezer immediately.
- I serve frozen. It is so cold and crystal-ly!!!

Yum! This is great. I love Dream Whip. My Mom always used it, and I keep some in the cabinet all the time.

This takes me back to my childhood. My mother made a very similar recipe in the summers some 40 odd years ago,it was always a crowd pleaser. 5 from me.
