Ingredients

How to make it

  • Fill your first empty jar with lavender stems and flowers that have been lightly crushed. You can find the crushed lavender at a local health food store or herb/flower shop.
  • ~
  • Pour enough almond or olive oil to fill the jar. Keep the jar closed and stored in a cool, dry place for a month so it can steep.
  • ~
  • Shake up the jar every day to mix up and activate the natural lavender essence. This will ensure that the lavender steeps evenly in the oil.
  • ~
  • After one month, use a strainer and empty the contents of the jar into a clean jar. Smell the oil to make sure it has a lavender aroma.
  • ~
  • Use your homemade lavender oil in your bath, in an oil diffuser or for a relaxing massage. Small amounts can also be applied to your temples or wrists when you have a headache or want to smell like fresh lavender flowers.

Thank you so much. Lavender Essential Oil is quite pricey, so this will help me very much. Is it possible to know the shelf life of your recipe?

    T.,
Makes me feel like I just took a quick trip to Provence, France. I even e-mailed it to a friend who make soy candles & Incense. She is starting to make "Mountain Girl" beauty products (Soap, Lotion, Lip Balm ect..)
I told her about this site & about all the magical things you make. I still haven't seen the ?sad crystals? I'll look for them now.
Meanwhile 5 Lavenders for this one my friend.

My comment was submitted twice. I wonder why?
I've also noticed that it's nearly impossible to submit photos with Recipes lately.
I wonder why I'm having this problem.
How do I go about finding help on the site to fix it? Would you know?
If so, please drop me a note. Thank you.
