White Willow Bark Tea
From tuilelaith 15 years agoIngredients
- 1 four cup pot of hot water, not boiling, I run it through the coffee pot shopping list
- 4 teaspoons very well chopped up bark, I use a coffee grinder shopping list
- honey (natural tranquilizer) or other sweetener shopping list
How to make it
- Have the hot water ready, I keep it on a coffee warmer after I run it through the maker to get it hot.
- Have the willow bark in your favorite tea brewing holder, i like cotton bags, other have these little metal balls with holes in them and then there are the really cool spoons for just a cup.
- Put the herb brewer into the water.
- Wait 15 minutes.
- Pour into favorite cup.
- Add honey to taste.
- Sip and relax.
- The pain will leave as you sip, give it 20 minutes to start.

- I am allergic to aspirin...go figure! It's like a speed trip, from what the Doctors say. All people are different. My hair feels like its growing, my hands shake really bad and I talk way faster then the words can form in my mouth, so I look really really weird on asprin!!! However, aspirin takes it base chemical compound from white willow bark. I can drink White Willow Bark Tea all day long for the pain in my hands and hip, and never feel like my hair is growing. YES! I do have to watch out for the buzzing/ringing in the ears which is one the the first sings of aspirin over dose. So be careful!

I would love to be able to try this, but to the best of my knowledge, there isn't a white willow within a few hundred miles of where I live. :) Sounds great though, thank you.
