When on Wednesday

    Good Morning Everyone.

When, when, when will the creepy advertising stop. I emailed abuse@choopa.com
about it. Seems the new trick is to advertise love spells or some other nonsense and then when it moves off the home page change it.
It's a dreary overcast morning and looks like rain. But that could change.
Since we stayed in yesterday I got a lot of e-files and such cleaned up. Still have more to go but at least I felt like a put a good dent in the project. DH did a great job cleaning too and yes he feels good about being useful and I tell him how much I appreciate his help and what a great job he does. It's sweet ... his strong desire to still want to take care of me.
Will probably go to the gym later and at some point LD really needs to be bathed.

Happy to hear you and your DH found a resolution but so sad to hear about the fallout with your GS's MeeMaw. On the bright side all the more time you get to spend with him. Alaska! for how long? or doesn't your son know.

Time for a cup of cold brew ... will check back in later.

Good Morning Linda! I like your St. Pat's avatar! I did a bunch of bumping to get the IMI11 group back on the front page but we're gonna have to go rescue Joce's new groups. :) Thank you for emailing that company. We have big fluffy snowflakes coming down. It's gorgeous and not too cold. Cloudy though. That is super nice re: your DH. :)

Will go back and read last night's posts in a bit. OUr company is grabbing coffee.

Watched a movie last night ... Hemingway and Gellhorn. It was very interesting, most things I didn't know about either one of them. Martha Gellhorn was a great war correspondent and an incredible woman for her time. Both committed suicide too. I kept pulling my iPad out while watching the movie and looking up stuff noted.

The movie does sound interesting Linda although them both committing suicide is awfully sad. Is the movie a sad one all the way through?

    Hi Joce! :)

I think the Ensure is a great idea Kimmer. Great idea from your Aunt for sure! Indeed a shame re: your daughter's ex and ex MIL. Your Grandson's happiness and well being should totally take precedent. I bet Michael will like Alaska. Jim's sister lives there. SO much wilderness and gorgeous mountains and wildlife!!! A shame about his home in TN. but I think it's pretty much a given that all military personnel live in so many locations over the course of their careers.

That's great you didn't lose power Laurie. Crossing my fingers for you that you don't get too big of a storm today. Poor Joy in her crate complaining. LOLOL.

Made Joce's crepes for breakfast two ways. Drizzled some maple syrup in some of them, rolled them up and baked them with more maple syrup over top for the girls which they also had with a slice of ham and then I did ham, asparagus and cheese crepes with a poached egg and hollandaise for the adults. It turned out great.

Heading out for a walk around the property. Doing hot legs tonight with a veggie platter, sliced tomatoes and avocados and some mini potatoes baked in lime olive oil.

    Wishing everyone a great day!

No not a sad movie. It noted that he committed suicide and how. He was being treated when he was 61 for depression with shock treatments! and then ... When I looked up her was when I found out she did too but she was in her late 80s and very sick.

Okay. I might watch it then if I come across it.

We're all going to the movies this afternoon. I'm going to bring the girls to Peter Rabbit (I'm a Beatrix Potter fan) and the others are going to go see that "Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri". Their movie starts about 40 min. before ours but maybe I'll bring the girls to Chapters or something.

Will just heat up some of the leftovers from dinner last night for lunch plus our guests brought us a dozen "Doubles", that Trinidadian street food sandwich that we discovered last year and really liked, so I'll put some of those out too.( a snack made with two baras (flat fried bread) filled with curry channa (curried chickpeas).

Good afternoon and hello to all. Hope you enjoyed the movie Janet, I'm a fan as well! Sounds like you are enjoying your company too. Nice on getting some files cleaned up Linda. I soooo need to do that too. Ah, one day.

Feeling adventurous tonight so going to make a whole chicken in the Instant Pot. Have done chicken breasts so far but not a whole one. Will have mac and cheese (just Kraft, not homemade tonight) and a salad with. Hubs will just have the chicken and salad, so he says, lol! My daughter's b-day is next week and we are celebrating it this Saturday night. Need to organize dinner and all so will work on that this evening after dinner. Her beau, his mom and daughter will be joining us. Also will need to do a quick clean. House is in pretty good order though.

    Hope all enjoy their evening.

Hi everyone. Snow is starting heavy tonight. So far it’s just sleet and rain. Now they are saying 12-18 inches but it keeps changing.
My mom was hit by a car this morning on her morning walk in Florida. She is going to be ok she needs surgery on her elbow it is shattered it could have been much worse. She can’t walk because it’s so badly bruised at the hip bursa area. She has osteoporosis so I was shocked that she didn’t break her hip. She is in hospital. Cannot fly out because of the storm. So it’s just a wait and see. She has her friends out there.
Tonight I had gluten free pasta mixed with zoodles and pesto sauce.

I quite enjoyed "Peter Rabbit" as did the girls. :) Jim said "The Three billboards" was very dark and interesting and well done. I'm glad I chose Peter rabbit. :)

I heard chickens done in the Instant Pot are quite good Kimmer. I'm curious to hear what you have to say. Fun that you're having a party for your daughter Sat.

12-18" of snow Laurie!!!! Ai yi yi!!!!! OH MY GOODNESS @ your Mom! That's crazy. Thank heavens she's going to be okay. A shattered elbow. Poor her. :( Awwwwww. I feel so bad for her. Did the person who hit her stop?

    Dinner's in the oven.

Joce....are you doing okay on your end?

Yes the person stopped. She was backing out of her driveway and didn’t see my mom. My mom had stopped because there was three little girls playing and she was chatting with them. The driver was focused on the little girls and didn’t see my mom.
My sister got a flight out tomorrow afternoon.

Chicken in the IP turned out sooooo good. Used a rub on it with just a tad of brown sugar, chili pepper, smoked paprika, fresh thyme and some kosher salt and ground pepper. Seared it for about 4 minutes in the Instant Pot till it got a delightful brown skin on the breast. Cooked it with just a smidge of chick broth for the liquid. Deelightful, hubs was soo pleased with just his salad and chicken that he did not miss the mac and cheese! A win!

    Sleep Sweet All....................as always.....................
